Although there are signs that there was already life in Tormos during Prehistory, the Neolithic, the Copper and Bronze Age; being a Roman settlement in the second century BC, and in the twelfth century a Muslim farmhouse that after the conquest of King James I (1228-76) became the successive property of various nobles, Tormos reached the expulsion of the Moors in 1609 and later arrival of repopulation of the Island of Majorca. In 1733 the current neoclassical church was built and after experiencing all the historical episodes that somehow affected all the peoples of Spain, from the second half of the 20th century to the present day, Tormos experimented, in terms of infrastructure and quality life, the highest level of progress in its entire history.
